Patricio Nazareno

Patricio Nazareno is Assistant Professor of Law at Universidad de San Andrés, in Buenos Aires, Argentina since 2017, where he teaches constitutional law, legal theory, and procedure, and a Hauser Global Fellow at New York University School during 2020-2022. Patricio holds JSD and LLM degrees from Yale Law School, a law degree from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, and a political science BA from Universidad Católica de Córdoba.

Patricio’s main areas of interest include constitutional law, social movements, legal history, international human rights, and legal culture and discourse. His current research focuses on the legal and political complexities of the decision-making processes that polities, especially in Latin America, are undertaking in order to overturn the widespread impunity for the human rights violations perpetrated in the past, and the tensions this raises between international law and tribunals and domestic politics and activism.
