Ann Staggs serves as Associate General Counsel, Global Privacy at Airbnb with a portfolio that has included a wide range of privacy areas including privacy product, AI, ML, trust and safety, privacy compliance, privacy commercial, data strategy, risk management, DSRs, training, privacy regulatory, privacy policies, data transfers, media and regulatory, data use and cyber security initiatives. With over 17 years in both private practice and as in-house counsel combined, Ann has worked in financial services and in the tech space, from start ups to global organizations developing, implementing and building out privacy programs enabling growth through pragmatic privacy product counseling. As a technology versed lawyer with a MBA background she has a strong track record of providing practical solutions to complex issues. Further, Ann is passionate about diversity and inclusion along with pro bono, starting a privacy internship program for underprivileged and diverse students. She has also held leadership positions at organizations such as the Minority Bar Coalition, Bar Association of San Francisco and internally at Airbnb.
