Biography
Ana is a privacy and cybersecurity lawyer who helps clients navigate the complex and evolving legal landscape of data protection and compliance. She has extensive experience advising clients on the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other similar state privacy laws, the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), HIPAA, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and other federal and state privacy and data security laws and regulations. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) with the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
Ana also assists clients with the development and implementation of privacy and data security policies and practices, data transfer and sharing agreements and data protection addenda. She has worked with clients across various industries and sectors, including technology, education, retail, and healthcare, on privacy and security issues related to cutting-edge technologies such as facial recognition, biometric scanning, artificial intelligence and location tracking.
Ana has also advised clients on strategic privacy issues and negotiated transactional documents in hundreds of corporate transactions, including M&A and venture capital financings.
