Biography
Mary Catherine Wirth is a veteran tech lawyer who has led media & First Amendment law, international litigation, cybersecurity, law enforcement response, and child safety efforts at several major Silicon Valley companies, including the Fox Entertainment Companies, Yahoo! and Adobe. She now serves as a consultant to a variety of tech clients and law firms on content moderation, CSAM-prevention, children’s privacy, AI and youth safety matters. A frequent speaker (who spoke at the inaugural Stanford Best Practices conference) and former adjunct professor at UC Law San Francisco, she currently is retained as a child safety expert in a multi-state AG investigation against a major social media company. Mary lives on her farm on Bainbridge Island, WA with far too many rescue animals (horses, goats, dogs and more) and is mom to daughter, Jaya — a University of Washington sophomore and competitive sailor (Go Dawgs!)
