Biography
Eugene Mar specializes in litigating cases for technology companies, with a primary focus on patent infringement, trade secret, copyright, and licensing disputes.
Eugene represents technology companies in patent infringement litigation across the country with deep experience in the Northern District of California, the District of Delaware, and the Eastern and Western Districts of Texas. Technologies at issue have included computer and server systems, computer memory, semiconductors, cybersecurity techniques, mobile and software security systems, software architecture, automotive technologies, and communication protocols. While Eugene is experienced with both jury and bench trials, he has also prevailed in many patent cases without going to trial, obtaining complete victories at summary judgment, claim construction, or on motions to dismiss. Eugene also advises his clients on coordinating their Patent Office IPR or EPR strategy (often also handled by Farella) with their district court litigation strategy to achieve the best result.
