Biography
Lyric Kaplan (CIPP/US, CIPT, FIP) is Senior Counsel, AI at Adobe, where she leads legal strategy for the company’s most significant AI initiatives, including Firefly, Adobe’s suite of generative AI products and foundation models, and AI integrations across Creative Cloud and Document Cloud. She is Adobe Privacy Legal team’s primary expert on AI products and the rapidly evolving global AI regulatory landscape, including the EU AI Act.
Prior to Adobe, she served as Lead AI Product Counsel at Snap, leading a team of product counsel advising on AI products and ML R&D, and built Snap’s AI governance, biometric compliance, training data, and generative AI safety frameworks from the ground up.
She is also Co-Founder of Naxos Labs, a boutique AI consulting firm helping organizations navigate AI product readiness and the evolving regulatory landscape, and author of Artificial Intelligence: Risks to Privacy and Democracy, published in the Yale Journal of Law and Technology in 2018. Lyric holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and an LLM in Privacy and Cybersecurity from Loyola Law School.
