Biography
Phil Ou is the Office Executive Partner for the Silicon Valley office and focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation. He is responsible for managing all aspects of the group’s most complex technology disputes, from case inception to trial/hearing and appeal.
Phil regularly leads teams before the U.S. International Trade Commission and leading venues for patent litigation, including the Western and Eastern Districts of Texas, the Northern and Central Districts of California and Delaware.
He also advises clients on pre-suit investigations and affirmative litigation involving trade secret misappropriation and business torts.
The market has recognized Phil as a top IP practitioner. He is ranked for IP Litigation in California by Chambers and has been recognized as a “Next-Gen Partner” by Legal 500, a “California Trailblazer” by the Recorder, and a “Rising Star” in Technology by Law360.
World IP Review identified Phil as a notable practitioner in its inaugural trade secret rankings in 2024. Phil has also been consistently recognized by IAM1000 and Managing IP.
