Overview<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Presented by the Stanford Program in Law, Science & Technology<\/a>, its Center for the Digital Economy<\/a>, and the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel<\/a> (ACC). The Stanford Digital Economy Best Practices Conference<\/strong> is the premier educational event for in-house counsel and practitioners who work in or for Internet, e-commerce, mobile, social networking, and cloud companies. Leading experts from industry, legal practice, and academia will address current issues facing the industry and offer practical solutions for dealing with the many legal uncertainties that arise when doing business online. The program will feature a roundtable of general counsel from leading e-commerce companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mark Lemley, BA ’88<\/strong> William H. Neukom Professor of Law, Stanford Law School; Director, Program in Law, Science & Technology Mark Lemley is the William H. Neukom Professor of Law at Stanford Law School and the Director of the Stanford Program in Law, Science & Technology. He teaches intellectual property, computer and internet law, patent law, trademark law, antitrust, and remedies. He is the author of seven books (all in multiple editions) and 162 articles on these and related subjects, including the two-volume treatise IP and Antitrust. His works have been cited more than 245 times by courts, including 13 times by the United States Supreme Court, and more than 14,000 times in books and law review articles, making him the most cited scholar in IP law and one of the most cited legal scholars of all time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Roland Vogl, JSM ’00<\/strong> Executive Director, CodeX – the Stanford Center for Legal Informatics; Executive Director, Stanford Program in Law, Science & Technology Dr. Roland Vogl is a lawyer, scholar, and media entrepreneur who, after nearly fifteen years of professional and academic experience, has developed a strong expertise in intellectual property and media law, innovation, and legal informatics. Currently, he is Executive Director of the Stanford Program in Law, Science &  Technology (LST). He focuses his efforts on legal informatics work carried out in the Center for Legal Informatics (CodeX), which he co-founded and leads as Executive Director. Also, he researches international technology law through the Transatlantic Technology Law Forum (TTLF), a think-tank dedicated to transatlantic tech law and policy issues.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
