Rob Jackson

Biography

Rob Jackson is an Earth scientist at Stanford (https://jacksonlab.stanford.edu/) and chair of the Global Carbon Project (https://robjacksonbooks.com/photos/). One of the top five most cited climate and environmental scientists in the world, Jackson’s current projects include establishing a global network of methane monitoring towers across the Amazon and measuring and reducing methane emissions and air pollution from oil and gas wells, city streets, and homes and buildings. His writings have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Scientific American, and many other outlets. He is also the author of two books of children’s poetry with Highlights magazine. His new book on climate solutions, Into the Clear Blue Sky, was recently named one of “The 8 best science books of 2024” by The Times.
