Biography
María Manuela Palacio Villarreal is a JSD Student, former 2023 SPILS Fellow, and Master of the Science of the Law at Stanford Law School. Her professional experience is in antitrust/competition law, public procurement, contracts, and economic analysis of the law. As an enforcer, she has studied a range of markets and industries in Colombia, including the infrastructure, transportation, health, payments, and telecommunications sectors. She has also researched the evolution of the digital economy across multiple industries, and emerging digital platform regulations in Colombia, the LAC region, and abroad. She has studied the intersection of antitrust, consumer, data, and labor protections in my roles.
