John McCaskill

John McCaskill is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas as well as a Certified Managerial Accountant. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional specializing in Building Design and Construction through the US Green Building Council. He has earned a Ph.D. in Public Affairs and a Master of Science degree in Accounting from The University of Texas at Dallas, a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College, and a Bachelor of Business Administration (Marketing Specialization) from the University of Houston. His focus is on helping build resilient and sustainable organizations that are able to thrive in dynamic and changing environments.

John’s experience spans government, nonprofit, and private sector organizations. He currently works as a Clinical Professor in the Public and Nonprofit Management department at the University of Texas at Dallas. He has also spent several years in the academic sector as an administrator, specializing in program evaluation and assessment. John has also held sales leadership and marketing positions within the building products industry including The Elk Group, GAF, and Polyglass (Mapei). John specialized in the area of sustainable building products and has been awarded 5 design patents.

John retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the US Marine Corps Reserve. He served as a fighter pilot (F/A-18s) in the U.S. Marine Corps and deployed to several countries throughout the Western Pacific region. John has volunteered extensively in the community, serving 2 terms on the McKinney Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Board.
