Biography
Barton Beebe is the John M. Desmarais Professor of Intellectual Property Law at NYU School of Law, a Co-Director of the Competition, Innovation, and Information Law LLM Program at NYU, and a Co-Director of the Engelberg Center on Innovation Law & Policy at NYU. He has been a visiting professor of law at Stanford, Columbia, and Yale, a Visiting Fellow at Merton College, University of Oxford, and an Open Fellowship Fellow at the Weizenbaum Institute, Berlin. He is the author of Trademark Law: An Open-Access Casebook, a free trademark law textbook now in use in over 100 law schools around the world. His book Technology and the Beautiful Deaths of Law: A Recurring History is forthcoming with Cambridge University Press.
