Directors’ College, now in its twenty-third year, is the nation\u2019s premier executive education program for directors and senior executives of publicly traded firms. The program addresses a broad range of problems that confront modern boards, including the board\u2019s role in setting business strategy, CEO and board succession, crisis management, techniques for controlling legal liability, challenges posed by activist investors, boardroom dynamics, international trade issues, the global economy, and cybersecurity threats.<\/p>\n

Joseph A. Grundfest<\/p><\/div>\n

\u00a0Joseph A. Grundfest<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

W.A. Franke Professor of Law and Business, <\/em>Stanford Law School; Senior Faculty, <\/em>Rock Center for Corporate Governance; Co-Founder and Director, <\/em>Financial Engines;<\/p>\n

Joseph A. Grundfest ’78 is a nationally prominent expert on capital markets, corporate governance, and securities litigation. His scholarship has been published in the Harvard, Yale, and Stanford law reviews, and he has been recognized as one of the most influential attorneys in the United States. Professor Grundfest founded the award-winning Stanford Securities Class Action Clearinghouse, which provides detailed, online information about the prosecution, defense, and settlement of federal class action securities fraud litigation. Professor Grundfest previously served as\u00a0a commissioner of the Securities and Exchange Commission, and\u00a0on the staff of the President\u2019s Council of Economic Advisors as counsel and senior economist for legal and regulatory matters.<\/p>\n

Deputy Director, <\/em>Rock Center for Corporate Governance<\/p>\n

Amanda K. Packel coordinates and executes Rock Center programs and research projects and oversees the center’s communications strategy, finances, and academic fellowship program. Packel speaks and conducts research on corporate governance issues, with publications on diversity on corporate boards, leadership, and ethics in nonprofits. She\u00a0serves on\u00a0the board of directors of the Thirty Percent Coalition and the Silicon Valley Directors\u2019 Exchange (SVDX). Packel previously practiced white-collar criminal defense\u00a0at Covington & Burling and at Orrick.<\/p>\n

F. Daniel Siciliano<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Professor and Associate Dean for Executive Education and Special Programs, <\/em>Stanford Law School; Faculty Director<\/em>, Rock Center for Corporate Governance<\/p>\n

F. Daniel Siciliano is a legal scholar and entrepreneur with expertise in corporate governance, corporate finance, and immigration law. He is the senior research fellow with the Immigration Policy Center and a frequent commentator on the long-term economic impact of immigration policy and reform. Prior to joining Stanford Law School, Siciliano co-founded and led LawLogix Group\u2014named nine\u00a0times to the Inc. 500\/5000 list. Siciliano serves as a governance consultant and trainer to board directors of several Fortune 500 companies.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
