Breakout: The Impact of Corporate Tax Reform

In case you hadn’t noticed, Congress recently enacted sweeping tax reform legislation with profound implications for most publicly traded corporations. The new tax law is complex and has significant implications for business strategy. Various provisions implicate executive compensation practices, international business structuring, transfer pricing, repatriation, debt-equity capitalization practices, and a host of other concerns. This panel will address the tax legislation from both a pragmatic and policy perspective, providing concrete advice as to specific tax reduction steps that some issuers might want to consider, while also considering the larger macro-economic consequences of the legislation over the longer term.
