Interactive Simulation of Cyber Incident: Practice Your Readiness and Response

In today’s high-stakes cyber security risk landscape, board members are increasingly responsible and accountable for cybersecurity oversight, governance, and reporting – especially given increased scrutiny from both regulators and investors. This session, guided by seasoned cybersecurity leaders, immerses participants in a realistic, high-pressure simulation of a major cyber incident, enabling participants to experience firsthand the challenges of incident response, regulatory disclosures, cross-functional coordination, and strategic decision-making under duress. Participants will engage in a role-playing exercise simulating a ransomware event, making real-time board-level decisions with implications on oversight, governance, and reporting. Participants will leave with better insights into how they should approach the situation if it were to occur and with practical playbooks for board members in the event of a crisis. Note that participants have the option of “playing” along with additional engagement features during the session using a mobile app that can be downloaded before the session.
