Plenary Session – Navigating Board Responsibilities and Political Issues in Turbulent Times

Addressing emerging issues and navigating change is part of serving on a board—and most would say we are in an especially volatile time for directors. This session will address the challenge of directors’ ever-expanding portfolios of responsibilities in a world where time is limited and reputational risk is magnifying. The panelists will identify some of the more pressing issues being raised by shareholders, employees, politicians, and regulators. The panel will also discuss practical solutions to address these issues in ways that are both consistent with company strategies and values and avoid taking directors’ and management’s eyes off the job of actually running the business.
