Laurie Simon Hodrick

Biography

Laurie Simon Hodrick is a Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University and the A. Barton Hepburn Professor Emerita of Economics in the Faculty of Business at Columbia Business School. She is a member of the Steering Committee of the Stanford Blockchain Research Hub. Previously, Laurie served as the Founding Director and Chair of the Advisory Board of the Program for Financial Studies at Columbia Business School, and she was formerly a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank, as Global Head of Alternative Investments.

Laurie currently serves as an independent director and audit committee chair of Roku (NASDAQ:ROKU), the pioneer of streaming to the TV, and as independent director, investment committee chair, and a member of the nominating and governance committee of PGIM Investments, the retail investment business of PGIM, the global investment management business of Prudential Financial. She has previously served as an independent director of Andela, SYNNEX (NYSE:SNX), Kabbage, Corporate Capital Trust (NYSE:CCT), and Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, serving as audit committee chair, independent director committee chair, M&A committee chair, and as a member of compensation and multiple nominating and governance and audit committees.

Laurie holds a B.A. in Economics from Duke University and a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University
