Shannon Nash

Biography

Shannon Nash, Esq., CPA, is an experienced global executive, public company board director, and cybersecurity governance leader. She currently serves on the boards of NetScout Systems (NASDAQ: NTCT), SoFi Bank (a subsidiary of SoFi Technologies Inc., NASDAQ: SOFI), and Lazy Dog Restaurants, where she chairs or serves on key committees including Audit and Compensation. Shannon also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, overseeing more than $16 billion in assets. 

Across her board service, Shannon has been actively involved in cybersecurity oversight and enterprise risk management, particularly in technology-enabled and regulated sectors. She brings practical, board-level experience in areas such as cybersecurity program evaluation, ransomware preparedness, third-party risk, and data privacy governance. 

She recently completed the Cyber Scholar Program through the NYU Law-Nasdaq Center for Board Excellence, with certification in May 2025. She also holds a Cybersecurity Fundamentals for Finance and Accounting Professionals Certificate from the AICPA and a Cybersecurity for Managers Certificate from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Her approach emphasizes how directors can thoughtfully oversee cybersecurity risks, strengthen board reporting frameworks, and support management teams in building digital resilience.

Shannon’s executive leadership career spans more than 25 years across finance, law, and operations. She most recently served as Chief Financial Officer of Wing, a subsidiary of Alphabet, where she led global finance and operations during a period of significant growth and innovation. Her earlier experience includes foundational roles at KPMG and practicing law at firms including K&L Gates and Cooley LLP. She has held leadership roles across both Fortune 500 companies and high-growth startups, bringing deep experience in P&L leadership, M&A, capital raising, and scaling global operations and leading cross-functional teams. 

Shannon’s work has been recognized by Accounting Today’s Top 100 Most Influential People, Directors & Boards magazine’s 2025 Directors to Watch, and BoardProspects’ 100 Women Leaders in the Boardroom. She is also an award-winning documentary film producer (OnBoard, highlighting Black women in the boardroom) and a frequent speaker on corporate governance, leadership, and boardroom diversity. 

With a background that bridges financial leadership, operational scale, and cybersecurity governance, Shannon brings a balanced, real-world perspective to boardroom discussions on cybersecurity, enterprise risk, and leadership in today’s evolving digital landscape.
