Conference Add-ons<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You are invited to add one of the following offerings to your Stanford Directors\u2019 College ticket. Each experience will include lunch on Monday, June 22, 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants in the optional Day 1 activities are invited to join a special breakfast gathering at the Stanford Faculty Club to kick off the morning in conversation with fellow directors and senior executives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program will feature a fireside chat with John Donahoe, Jaquish & Kenninger Director and Chair of Athletics at Stanford University<\/strong>. In addition to his current leadership role at Stanford, Donahoe brings decades of executive experience, including serving as Chief Executive Officer of Nike and eBay, as well as senior leadership roles at Bain & Company. Drawing on this experience, he will share perspectives on leadership, culture, and navigating complex organizations in periods of change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donahoe will be in conversation with Rock Center Fellow and technology executive and experienced board member Marie Oh Huber, who will guide a discussion connecting his executive journey to the challenges and opportunities facing boards and leaders today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This session offers a unique opportunity to begin the day with thoughtful dialogue, practical insight, and meaningful connection in an intimate setting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Partners\/spouses are welcome to participate in the golf or art tour\/wine tasting excursions. Note: These add-on sessions run concurrently. <\/em><\/strong>Participants can choose to attend one of the three options.<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

Golf at Stanford Golf Course<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Play nine holes at the iconic Stanford Golf Course<\/strong> alongside other Directors\u2019 College participants and select VIP guests. Because the course is not open to the public, this is a rare opportunity to experience a true Stanford tradition and a truly unique networking experience.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Winetasting and Tour of Cantor Art <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Enjoy a private, docent-led tour of Cantor Arts Center, one of Stanford\u2019s cultural landmarks. The Cantor\u2019s collection spans over 5,000 years and includes more than 42,000 works of art from around the globe, including one of the world\u2019s largest collections of sculptures by Auguste Rodin<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the tour, guests will participate in a curated wine tasting and lunch led by Dana Wagner, a corporate governance expert, former technology company executive, and certified sommelier. Dana will guide participants through a selection of wines chosen not only for their quality, but for the distinctive governance stories behind them, offering a unique lens on leadership, stewardship, and decision-making across industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This experience blends art, conversation, and insight in an intimate setting, designed to spark thoughtful dialogue and connection among participants.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Directors\u2019 College 101: Board Fundamentals for New Directors<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Directors\u2019 College 101 is\u00a0designed to help newer public company directors build a strong foundation for effective board service, drawing on the insights of leading academics, experienced board members, and practitioners. This year, the program features three 90-minute sessions: (1) an overview of director fiduciary duties, grounded in recent case law; (2) a corporate governance simulation and case study adapted from a popular Stanford Graduate School of Business course; and (3) a session on leadership in the age of AI, also adapted from a Stanford course. While designed with new directors in mind, the content is highly relevant to experienced directors as well, and Directors\u2019 College 101 is open to all Stanford Directors\u2019 College attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
