Bear Vasquez

Bear Vasquez is the founder and CEO of Atreides Technologies, Inc., the organization that provides blockchain for water management. His professional and academic work has focused on law, policy and emerging technologies within the water industry. His prior work has included establishing and scaling rainwater harvesting infrastructure systems that would act as alternative, decentralized emergency-sources of public waters during times of catastrophe or natural disaster.

While in law school, Bear worked on cutting-edge research in the water law and technologies sector, including assisting Stanford Professors with researching and writing a first-of-its-kind, forthcoming textbook on emerging water technologies. Bear was elected as a Bradley Fellow by the Stanford Constitutional Law Center for his work focusing on the constitutional significance of water-related public rights. He has worked significantly on law and policy issues for key players in the water industry, including Suez’s Water Technologies & Solutions, and the Chris Long Foundation’s Water Boys initiative. Bear was also a member of Stanford Law School’s Supreme Court Clinic, Vice President of Professional Development for the Stanford Latino Law Student Association, Vice President of Alumni Relations for the Stanford Law School Entrepreneurship Club, and Chief Financial Officer for the China Law and Policy Association.

Bear has also held positions at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, Susman Godfrey LLP, Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, Cleary, Gottlieb, Stein & Hamilton, Yetter Coleman LLP, and the Federal Public Defenders, District of Oregon.
