Stacy Feuer

Biography

Stacy Feuer is the senior vice president of the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) Privacy Certified program. In that role, she ensures that member companies in the video game and toy industries adopt and maintain lawful, transparent, and responsible privacy practices and policies for their websites, mobile apps, and other digital services. On a day-to-day basis, she provides member companies with practical guidance on resolving privacy challenges arising from the constantly changing, complex, global data privacy landscape. Stacy oversees compliance with ESRB’s privacy certifications, including its “Kids Certified” seal, which is an approved Safe Harbor program under the Federal Trade Commission’s Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) Rule.

Before joining the ESRB, Stacy spent more than 21 years as an enforcer and regulator at the Federal Trade Commission, dealing with the full range of consumer protection issues including advertising, consumer fraud, and privacy. She also developed deep experience in international policy issues relating to consumer-facing digital technologies. As the FTC’s Assistant Director for International Consumer Protection, she served as a lead delegate to the OECD and other international organizations and coordinated with foreign consumer protection and data protection authorities on investigations and cases. Stacy was also a partner in an international litigation firm and clerked for a federal district court judge. Stacy is a graduate of Cornell University and the New York University School of Law.
