Steve Castleman
Steve Castleman is a Visiting Associate Professor at Golden Gate University School of Law and a Staff Attorney in its Environmental Law and Justice Clinic. He graduated with a B.A. from Yale in Chinese Studies and attended USF School of Law at night while working full-time as a DA Investigator in the San Francisco DA’s office. On passing the Bar, he became an SFDA prosecutor specializing in white collar crime cases. For the last 10 years of his career in the DA’s office, he prosecuted environmental crimes, obtaining both the first misdemeanor and the first felony jury convictions under California’s hazardous waste laws.
