Biography
Paula Cipierre is an internationally renowned expert in responsible data practices and innovation. She is currently the Director of Data Ethics & Innovation at ada Learning GmbH, a platform for personal growth and organizational development that facilitates collaboration toward a more digital and sustainable future. Previously the Head of Privacy & Public Policy at Palantir Technologies, she has researched and worked at the intersection of data protection, data ethics, and the digital world for more than a decade.
A vocal proponent of interdisciplinary thinking and lifelong learning, Paula holds several humanities and social sciences degrees, including a Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude in French, European Cultural Studies, and Near Eastern Studies from Princeton University, a Master of Public Policy from the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin, and a Master of Arts in Media, Culture, and Communication from New York University. She most recently completed a Master of Law in Information Technology Law from the University of Edinburgh while working full time.
Paula co-authored the book From Artificial to Augmented Intelligence, which explores the role that art can play in shaping the future with software.
