We will give a (very) short introduction to quantum physics, introducing quantum mechanical phenomena such as quantum superposition, entanglement, and tunneling. We will discuss how these phenomena are used in state-of-the-art technologies in both qualitative and quantitative ways. Specifically, we will focus on applications in metrology and imaging.
