Biography
Alex Waldherr (21) attended a college for chemical engineering in Vienna, starting age 13, and graduated as a chemical engineer before continuing academic studies in the field of medicinal chemistry and drug development. She is currently doing her master’s at the Medical University in Innsbruck. Her two main passions are structural biology and (quantum) physics to model small systems.
She has interned at CERN, the Austrian Center for Molecular Medicine, the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility, and will join the ESA Space Medicine team next fall.
In her own words: I am definitely no perfect quantum chemist yet, but absolutely love learning, running experiments and doodling out problems with black marker. Very looking forward to meeting cool people + conversations during the conference 🙂
