Part 1: Designing California’s Racial Reconciliation and Reparations Commissions

This session will highlight several initiatives across the Bay Area and state of California charged with investigating the region’s history of racial injustice and proposing policies to repair those harms. The panel will include representatives from several commissions in a discussion of the goals, process design, and present challenges facing these bodies as they embark upon their mission.
