Biography
Naomi Roht-Arriaza is Distinguished Professor of Law (Emerita) at the University of California College of Law, San Francisco. She taught international human rights and related topics for over 30 years. She is the author of Fighting Grand Corruption: Transnational and Human Rights Approaches in Latin America and Beyond (2025) as well as The Pinochet Effect: Transnational Justice in the Age of Human Rights (2005) and Impunity and Human Rights in International Law and Practice (1995), among other publications on human rights, grand corruption, amnesties, universal jurisdiction and reparations. She is the President of the Board of the Due Process of Law Foundation. She works closely with lawyers for victims and civil society organizations on human rights and international criminal law-based cases.
