Jennifer Yim

Biography

Jennifer MJ Yim, is the administrator at the Utah Board of Pardons and Parole. Ms. Yim has over 25 years of experience in a variety of roles in Utah’s justice system including having served as a founding commissioner and former executive director of the Utah Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission, a member in the merit selection process of judges and magistrate judges at the state and federal court levels, respectively, and a parole board member in the juvenile justice system. She is also an adjunct assistant professor for the Executive Master in Public Administration Program at the University of Utah’s School of Public Affairs. Ms. Yim has a doctorate in political science and a master in public administration both from the University of Utah. Ms. Yim’s academic research interests focus on conceptions of fairness in the justice system.
