Reception (co-sponsored by the Women of Color Collective and SLA)

Stanford Women of Color Collective (WoCC) creates spaces where students identifying as women of color can build community and can discuss and process how their identity impacts their law school experience. They strive to enrich dialogue across the Stanford community with their diverse perspectives. They empower their members by creating a close knit community in a historically white, patriarchal institution.

Stanford Law Association (SLA) represents the interests of the Law School student body in general, and also assists in the orientation of entering students, supervises student elections and referenda, and serves as a special advisory council to the Associate Dean for Student Affairs. SLA also sponsors an active social program which includes the Law School formal and semi-formal, weekly bar reviews and happy hours, intramural sports events and football game tailgates.
