Jessica Weinger

Biography

Jessica Weinger is a supervising attorney in Bay Area Legal Aid’s San Francisco Housing team who has been practicing housing law and eviction defense since 2016. In her current role, she represents tenants facing eviction in San Francisco, advocates for fair housing rights, and mentors new attorneys in the field. Prior to coming to Bay Legal, she worked in legal aid practicing housing law and public benefits, serving low-income residents of Lake and Mendocino Counties. At the University of San Francisco School of Law, Jess participated in the International Human Rights Clinic and had the distinct honor of speaking to the UN Human Rights Council and the UN Forum on Business and Human Rights about the right to housing. In this discussion, Jess will share her direct services experience representing tenants, with a focus on tenant advocacy and representation under San Francisco’s Tenant Right to Counsel program.
