Jen Lee

Biography

Jen Lee was the Technology & Liberty Policy Program Director at the American Civil Liberties Union of Washington where she drafted, advocated for, and implemented laws to hold technology accountable to people. For five legislative sessions, she worked to organize and build a coalition of community partners centered around uplifting the voices of communities and individuals marginalized by disproportionate policing and surveillance. She worked with colleagues and partners to advocate for strong privacy, anti-surveillance, and algorithmic accountability legislation and fight against weak industry-backed proposals. Currently, Jen is a Stanford law student and Knight-Hennessy Scholar focused on technology policy and law.
