Nathan “nash” Sheard

Biography

Nathan ‘nash’ Sheard is the Managing Director for Advocacy at the Electronic Frontier Foundation. nash works to assure the organization’s work is impactful, collaborative, and innovative. Before joining our executive team, nash led EFF’s grassroots, student, and community organizing efforts as the Director of EFF’s Organizing team. As Organizing Director, nash supported member organizations of the Electronic Frontier Alliance in educating their neighbors on digital-privacy best practices and advocating for privacy and innovation-protecting policy and legislation. nash’s work is informed by lived experience with aggressive and militarized policing in the US and abroad, including racial profiling, police brutality, and activist repression. In addition to his work at EFF, nash maintains advisory and board-level roles with Black Movement Law Project, the Alliance for Global Justice, and Lucy Parsons Labs.
