Developing holistic, cooperative, and sustainable strategies is at the core of successful progressive movement-building. On this panel, Alec Karakatsanis, Zachary Kirk, and Olivia Gleason will discuss the broader ecosystem of anti-carceral organizing and the variety of strategies their organizations deploy – from direct legal representation and impact litigation to narrative reframing and media criticism, grassroots base-building, participatory defense, and policy advocacy – to work collaboratively toward an abolitionist future.
