Tom Gede has a national reputation and distinguished background in federal Indian law. He represents clients in complex governmental matters in litigation, administrative and regulatory proceedings. Tom has been elected as a Member of the American Law Institute and is an Advisor on the Restatement of American Indian Law. Recently Tom worked on the Washington “culverts case,” U.S. v. State of Washington. A former senior deputy in the California Attorney General’s office, Tom was amicus coordinator and Supreme Court counsel, and argued cases in the US Supreme Court, the California Supreme Court, and numerous state and federal appellate courts. He currently serves as Chair, Board of Directors for UC Hastings College of the Law.
