Biography
Cindy S. Ahn is a Director of Longford Capital. Cindy is responsible for investment sourcing, underwriting and monitoring of portfolio investments.
Since 2020, Lawdragon has recognized Cindy as one of the 100 global leaders in legal finance.
Cindy is an accomplished attorney with 25 years of experience focusing on intellectual property litigation. She started her career at two nationally renowned law firms, Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner and Kirkland & Ellis where she was elected partner. Cindy also practiced as a partner in the Global IP Law Group, LLC where she assisted clients monetize, license and enforce their intellectual property rights, as well as, working at Schiff Hardin, LLP, where she concentrated on litigating Hatch-Waxman (“ANDA”) pharmaceutical patent cases.
Cindy also served as General Counsel of Third Wave Technologies, Inc., a publicly traded molecular diagnostics company, where she oversaw multiple patent litigations on both the plaintiff and defense-side.
Cindy has significant experience litigating complex intellectual property matters in federal courts throughout the United States, and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Cindy has assisted her clients in licensing, sale, and enforcement of intellectual property rights in a wide array of industries, including electronics, software, telecommunications, and many others.
Cindy’s experience practicing law as outside counsel (in both boutiques and big law settings) and as inside- counsel gives Cindy particular insight and proficiency recognizing and addressing unique issues that outside and in-house counsel face when dealing with intellectual property litigation related matters.
