Biography
Batu is pursuing a PhD in computational and mathematical engineering at Stanford School of Engineering. His current research focuses on “cognitive security” and social impacts of generative AI systems.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from Tulane University as a triple major in mathematics, computer science, and economics. He then worked at the World Bank in Washington D.C., before moving to the U.K. to pursue an MPhil in advanced computer science at the University of Cambridge, where he focused on natural language processing and deep learning.
