Claudia Fan Munce

Venture Advisor, NEA

Claudia started her career at IBM Research as a software engineer and later founded the IBM Venture Capital Group and served as its Managing Director and Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Corporate Development M&A Group for 15 years.  Upon her retirement from IBM in 2016 at 30 years of service milestone, she joined NEA as a Venture Advisor. She is also the chairwoman of the board of the Global Corporate Venturing Group, Advisor to the American Association for Advancement of Science, board member of Bank of the West / BNP Paribas Group, board member of Best Buy Corporation, an investor with Broadway Angels Group, and a guest lecturer at Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Claudia was born in Taiwan and grew up in Brazil. She holds a master’s degree in Computer Science from Santa Clara University and a master’s degree in Management from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
