Nizar Tarhuni

Nizar Tarhuni leads the research and data analyst groups at PitchBook Data, a Seattle-based private markets research firm that was acquired by Morningstar in 2016. He is responsible for overseeing PitchBook’s analyst coverage across private equity, M&A and venture capital, as well as the firm’s emerging technology research. Tarhuni is also responsible for managing and driving the content strategy and distribution behind PitchBook’s written research offering.

As the head of the data analyst group, Tarhuni is responsible for developing operating efficiencies across the team to better serve internal and external client research requests. Previously, he served as PitchBook’s lead private equity analyst and launched the firm’s emerging technology coverage in 2015. He has been regularly featured in the Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Bloomberg and the Financial Times, among other publications.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from Linfield College.
