Breakout 1 – Decrypting Crypto Investments

Many venture capital firms are considering whether to invest in crypto assets, including in crypto and blockchain-related startups, in existing currencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum and in initial coin offerings (ICOs). This session will examine the benefits and drawbacks of investing in crypto assets, the mechanics of crypto investing, and whether the evolution of alternative fundraising models like ICOs can become a material threat to the traditional VC model.
