Ben brings to Legacy Venture a distinguished track record as a venture capitalist, tech executive, and entrepreneur.
As an early stage venture capitalist, Ben invested in pre-product and pre-revenue Internet startups, including Marketo which went on to go public and was eventually sold for $1.8B. He is an engaged member of the exclusive Society of Kauffman Fellows, the premier leadership organization for the venture capital industry.
As a tech executive, Ben ran product for Adobe’s Creative Cloud offerings, the company’s most significant strategic shift in decades. Previously, Ben directed strategy at Greystripe, an early mobile ad network acquired by ValueClick.
As an entrepreneur, he co-founded mobile commerce startup CoffeeTable, where he earned his stripes raising capital, building a team, and ultimately selling the company.
Ben enjoyed several years of his early career in Singapore, where he had the privilege of leading humanitarian relief teams to Bangladesh and Afghanistan. He currently serves on the boards of the San Francisco Chinese Culture Center and the Children’s Health Council.
Ben received his B.A. in Computer Science with Honors from Harvard University and his MBA with distinction from Columbia Business School. Born in Peoria, raised in San Francisco, and educated in Cambridge, Ben now lives in Palo Alto with his wife and three sons.
