Nick Washburn
Senior Managing Director & Chief Operating Officer, Intel Capital
Nick is a Senior Managing Director and the Chief Operating Officer of Intel Capital, and a voting member of Intel Capital’s investment committee. In his capacity as Chief Operating Officer, Nick is responsible for managing Intel Capital’s investment-related operations and associated administrative matters. Nick is also currently focused on investments in data center and cloud infrastructure, enterprise IT, and next-generation application development and deployment.
Nick’s career experience includes venture capital equity and debt investments, public and private company M&A, leveraged buyouts, leveraged recapitalizations, restructurings, IPOs, PIPEs, dispositions,tender offers, spin-offs, joint ventures, hostile takeovers, corporate takeover defensive measures and portfolio company management, including complex cross-border transactions.
In 2018, Nick was co-named #6 on the Global Corporate Venturing Rising Stars Awards 2018 list of the top 100 rising stars in the corporate venture capital ecosystem.
Nick previously served as a Managing Counsel (Americas) and a Senior Attorney for Intel Capital. Prior to joining Intel Capital, Nick worked at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in Palo Alto and Jones Day in New York. Nick is a graduate of the Villanova University School of Law (Magna Cum Laude, Order of the Coif)and the College of the Holy Cross.
