Managing Director, Head of Technology Equity Capital Markets Americas, Morgan Stanley

Lauren Cummings is a Managing Director in Morgan Stanley’s Technology Investment Banking group, heading Tech Equity Capital Markets for the Americas. Starting in 2001 at Morgan Stanley, she has advised hundreds of issuers on raising equity capital through IPOs, direct listings, follow-ons, block trades, among other more nuanced equity products. She took a sabbatical from banking to write Warren Buffett’s official biography, The Snowball: Warren Buffett and the Business of Life, a NY Times bestseller by Alice Schroeder.

Lauren holds a BA in economics and Latin from Colgate University, where she was a dual sport Division I athlete in Soccer and Lacrosse. She and her husband Derek live in San Mateo, California raising 6-year old daughter Alexandra and 3-year old son Cole. An avid runner, Lauren is most proud of accomplishing a 2:51 marathon.
