Serkan Yolcu

Serkan Yolcu- Izmir University of Economics, Turkey

Dr. Serkan Yolcu received his LLB from Dokuz Eylul University (Turkey) in 2007. He completed his LLM at Uludag University (Turkey) and received his PhD degree in public law from Ankara University (Turkey) in 2018. He has been at Oxford University Faculty of Law and at Boston College Law School as visiting researcher. Between 2018-2019 Serkan was a Max Weber Postdoctoral Fellow at European University Institute (Italy). He’s currently a faculty member at Izmir University of Economics Faculty of Law. Serkan has been essentially working on Turkish constitutionalism and comparative constitutional law. His major research interests include constitutional amendments, democratic legitimacy of judicial review and constitutional adjudication of social rights. Dr. Yolcu has published both in Turkish and English.
