Update

May 18, 2020

Dear Alumni,

Greetings from Stanford Law School. I hope this note finds you and your loved ones safe and healthy.

As you can imagine, we have been exploring a variety of options to move forward with plans for Alumni Weekend 2020 in light of the pandemic. Unfortunately, we have decided the safest option is to postpone Alumni Weekend 2020.

I share your disappointment in this outcome.  I know how much you were looking forward to connecting with friends and classmates in October. We are committed to finding ways to bring classmates together virtually and appreciate your patience and support as we develop plans to acknowledge your SLS milestone.

I would be remiss if I did not take this opportunity to acknowledge the remarkable leadership that your reunion chairs and committee members have shown. These volunteers have worked tirelessly for months on planning and outreach efforts. I simply cannot thank them enough for their incredible hard work and thoughtful perspectives. The staff and I are truly grateful and hope you will join us in thanking them for all their hard work.

Although we cannot gather in person this year, we eagerly anticipate welcoming our “0s & 5s” alumni back to campus for a reunion celebration in 2021. In the coming months you will hear from the Alumni Weekend planning team with information about Alumni Weekend 2021, with plenty of time to arrange your visit. In the meantime, thank you for your understanding of our need to postpone this year’s event. I very much look forward to seeing you all here in 2021.

All my best,

Jenny Martinez
