SVP & General Counsel, Sophos
Eleanor Lacey joined Sophos in November 2016 as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. In this role she will be responsible for the global legal affairs of Sophos.
Eleanor joined Sophos from SurveyMonkey Inc., where she was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, and was the Executive Sponsor of Diversity and Inclusion. Prior to joining SurveyMonkey in 2012, Eleanor was General Counsel and Vice President of Business Development at Corel Corporation, during which time the company completed its transition to a private company and undertook significant corporate restructuring. Before moving to Corel Corporation, Eleanor held the position of Vice President of Corporate Development at SupportSoft, Inc. and prior to that was Vice President and General Counsel at Niku Corporation which was acquired by Computer Associates in 2005.
Eleanor began her career as a litigator in San Francisco after receiving her J.D. from Yale Law School, and graduated with a B.A. in History and English from the University of Massachusetts, at Amherst. Eleanor speaks conversational Mandarin Chinese and studied Chinese history and language in Xian, China and at Tunghai University, Taiwan. Eleanor is based in the Sophos office in Santa Clara, CA.
