Since 1999, Joshua Engel has provided legal guidance to innovative technology companies focusing on digital media, Internet/ecommerce, and data and analytics services. In his current role as Vice President, Deputy General Counsel – Commercial at leading Information Services company Neustar, Inc., Josh leads a team of experienced attorneys supporting Neustar’s marketing services, analytics services (MarketShare), data services, back-end top level domain registries (.co, .us, .nyc), security services, and telecom related services. Neustar’s over 1500 customers include top financial services firms, online and offline retailers, healthcare, travel, and insurance firms, all relying on Neustar’s authoritative identity and world class security services delivery platforms. Prior to Neustar, Josh held legal positions at Bigstep.com (a venture backed internet company), Roxio/Napster (software and online music distribution), and Sonic Solutions (digital media software), in addition, Josh was outside counsel to several technology companies in private practice. Josh earned his JD/MBA from University of San Francisco and is licensed to practice in California and Washington, D.C.
