Jon Shapiro

Interim General Counsel, Workforce Software LLC

Jon Shapiro is a senior legal advisor and general counsel with over 20 years of experience representing high-growth technology companies. He is comfortable managing a wide variety of legal issues and focused on encouraging companies to take smart risks.

Jon’s specialties include online advertising, data use and privacy, software licensing, SaaS/Enterprise, product consultation, deal strategy, intellectual property, corporate governance, risk management, and all forms of commercial transactions.

Currently he serves as the Interim General Counsel of WorkForce Software, LLC, a cloud-based workforce management solution. Prior to that, he was Director, Legal Affairs for A9.com, Inc., a subsidiary of Amazon responsible for its global online advertising and search technology efforts. Prior to that, he was vice president and General Counsel of AdBrite, Inc., at the time the largest independent online advertising exchange. Prior to that he was Deputy General Counsel of QuinStreet, Inc., online growth marketing company, where he supervised QuinStreet’s commercial transactions, consumer and third-party data and privacy issues, and multiple acquisitions.

Before moving in house, Jon worked for Brobeck, Phleger and Harrison in Palo Alto, and at Testa, Hurwitz and Thibeault in Boston, representing Internet, hardware, software, telecommunications and retail companies.
