COVID-19 Policies for Visitors

We look forward to welcoming you to Stanford Law School. During your time here, your health and safety are our top priorities. Below are our current on-campus COVID-19 policies for Summer 2022 programs. This page will be updated if policies change due to further guidance from the state, county, and/or university officials on upcoming events

Visitors are required to adhere to the following policies:

Prior to the start of the program Visitors must verify vaccination status upon registering their participation in the on-campus program. Participants must be fully vaccinated or have an approved medical exception. Boosters are highly recommended.

If you are unable to meet the above criteria by two (2) weeks before the start of the program, email tech@law.stanford.edu to cancel your participation and/or receive a refund.

Within least 24 hours prior to the start of the program Participants must verify that they do not have COVID-19 at the start of the program. We will have rapid antigen tests to screen participants onsite or participants can provide a negative COVID-19 test from a verifiable pharmacy source or healthcare provider taken within 24 hours prior to the start of the program. If a participant chooses to take a COVID-19 test from a verifiable pharmacy source or healthcare provider, the proof of a negative test should clearly indicate:

  • Full name:
  • Birthdate:
  • Type of test (PCR, LAMP or rapid antigen):
  • Date of test:
  • Test result:

Here are 3 options for providing us this result:

#1 CVS/Walgreens: You can schedule a test from a verifiable pharmacy source or healthcare provider taken within 24 hours prior to the start of the program. Program participants must show a photo ID that matches the name on their test result. Acceptable documents include hard copy of test results, or an email or text message displayed on phone/device from the test provider or laboratory.

#2 At-Home Rapid Antigen Test: If you would like to use an at-home rapid antigen covid test within 24 hours, we are providing virtual supervised testing using CityHealth. Please email rapidreturn@cityhealth.com with the subject line “Stanford DEBP 2022”. You will receive a response within 5-10 mins with a QR Code and 6-digit number. Scan the QR Code and follow the instructions to be virtually supervised while taking the test. CityHealth will view your results and email them to you with all the required information. You will show us th is email along with your Vaccination Card and ID upon entering the conference. You can request the code at any time, you do not need to wait until 24 hours before. But the test does need to be taken within 24 hours of coming onto Stanford Campus.

#3 On-Site Testing: If you are unable to schedule an appointment for a test within 24 hours of arriving on campus, do not have an at-home rapid antigen covid test, or you do not receive your results in time, we will provide rapid antigen tests on-site. The testing process will be the same as above, using CityHealth to virtually supervise the testing process. Please allow yourself at least 30 minutes to take a test on-site.

** International Attendees: Restrict activities (i.e., not come to shared spaces) until receiving a negative Day 0 test result. After receiving a negative Day 0 test result but before receiving a negative Day 5 test result, resume in-person activities but refrain from indoor public dining and continue wearing face coverings indoors and in crowded spaces. You are welcome to use CityHealth as well to take a test on Day 0. Please email rapidreturn@cityhealth.com with the subject line “Stanford DEBP 2022”.

If you have any questions about these regulations or you are no longer able to attend, please let us know.

Upon arrival at the event Vaccination cards and IDs will be checked prior to entering the building, so PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR VACCINATION CARD AND IDENTIFICATION.  You can also show your card digitally.

If a participant has chosen to take a COVID-19 test at a verifiable pharmacy source or healthcare provider, or via CityHealth be ready to show a vaccination card, photo ID and proof of negative COVID-19 test (as described above).

If a participant chooses to test onsite, please arrive early to check-in and take a COVID-19 antigen test. Please be prepared to show your vaccination card and photo ID.

During the event We will have rapid antigen test kits on hand for symptomatic testing. Participants exhibiting symptoms should be tested to determine if they are COVID-19 positive. All COVID-19 positive participants will need to isolate for at least 5 days and obtain a negative antigen test before returning to the program.

Face Coverings: Based on local COVID-19 metrics being met, the Santa Clara County Public Health Department and Stanford University have updated their masking requirements. Stanford University guidelines now state that “masks are no longer required, but are strongly recommended.”
