Optional Sunday Session

Directors’ College Attendees are invited to register for an optional Sunday Session before the Directors’ College opening reception and dinner on the afternoon of June 25, 2017. This session will feature a guest speaker followed by a wine tasting and networking reception.

Topic: The Trump Administration and the Corporation
Speaker: Ken Mehlman – Member & Global Head of Public Affairs, KKR; Former Chairman of the Republican National Committee
Session Description: Ken Mehlman, a former Chair of the Republican National Committee, is one of our nation’s most astute and experienced political observers. This session provides an opportunity to hear Ken’s candid assessments regarding a range of pending public policy issues with significant implications for corporate America. Among the topics to be discussed are: the prospects for corporate tax reform; immigration policy, and H1-B visas in particular; infrastructure investment; the business implications of a more conservative judiciary; effects of the withdrawal from the Paris climate accords, combined with the observation that many corporations are voluntarily stepping up to address climate concerns; and potential renegotiation of NAFTA and other trade agreements, including observations regarding Brexit’s implications.
