Speaker: Ken Mehlman – Member & Global Head of Public Affairs, KKR; Former Chairman of the Republican National Committee
Session Description: Ken Mehlman, a former Chair of the Republican National Committee, is one of our nation’s most astute and experienced political observers. This session provides an opportunity to hear Ken’s candid assessments regarding a range of pending public policy issues with significant implications for corporate America. Among the topics to be discussed are: the prospects for corporate tax reform; immigration policy, and H1-B visas in particular; infrastructure investment; the business implications of a more conservative judiciary; effects of the withdrawal from the Paris climate accords, combined with the observation that many corporations are voluntarily stepping up to address climate concerns; and potential renegotiation of NAFTA and other trade agreements, including observations regarding Brexit’s implications.
