Lynn Bleil

Director, DST Systems, Stericycle, and Sonova Holding AG

Lynn is an experienced Board Director and former Director (Senior Partner) Emeritus of McKinsey & Company, where she led the West Coast Healthcare Practice. She was among the first 13 women to be elected Director in McKinsey’s 75-year history. Since her McKinsey retirement in December 2013, she has been applying her 25+ years of healthcare and strategic expertise to corporate and nonprofit governance.

Lynn is currently a Board Director of Stericycle, Inc. (NASDAQ: SRCL) www.stericycle.com, Sonova Holding AG (VX: SOON) www.sonova.com, DST Systems, Inc. (NYSE: DST) www.dstsystems.com until its sale to SS&C Technologies Holdings (NASDAQ: SSNC) in April 2018, and Auspex Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: ASPX) www.auspexpharma.com until its sale to Teva Pharmaceuticals (NYSE:TEVA) in May 2015. She chairs the Nominating & Governance Committee and serves on the Compensation Committee of Stericycle, serves on the Audit Committee of Sonova, and also served on the Audit, Compensation, and Nominating & Governance Committees of DST. She is also a Strategic Advisor to private companies Halo Neuroscience (www.haloneuro.com) in San Francisco and Navigen Pharmaceuticals (www.navigenpharma.com) in Salt Lake City.

During her extensive McKinsey career, Lynn worked exclusively within the healthcare sector – advising senior management and boards of Fortune 500 companies on corporate and business unit strategy, mergers and acquisitions, marketing & sales, public policy and organization, across all segments of the healthcare value chain. In particular, she counseled leading companies in biotechnology/specialty pharma and medical device on their commercial and go-to-market/ reimbursement strategies as well as organizational capabilities to address the rapidly changing payor/ provider landscape in the U.S. and globally. Lynn also advised managed care and healthcare services companies on strategy and organization, as well as private equity firms on their healthcare investment strategies and portfolio holdings. At McKinsey, Lynn also served on several worldwide personnel committees.

Lynn is also active with nonprofits, serving on the boards of Intermountain’s Park City Medical Center, the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team Foundation, and the Utah Youth Orchestras & Ensembles. She is also a fellow of the University of Utah’s Sorenson Global Impact Center and an advisor to Village Capital, an incubator for social entrepreneurs. Lynn also serves on the Executive Committee of Stanford Women on Boards and the Advisory Board of Bright Futures (assisting first generation college students in the Park City School District).

Lynn holds a B.S.E. degree in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University, magna cum laude (1985), and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business (1989), where she was an Arjay Miller Scholar. She resides in Park City, Utah with her husband and 17-year old son; all are avid skiers, hikers, music and outdoor lovers. She is also a first generation college graduate.
